Merry Christmas and Happy new years too all!
I have to work during the holiday week and it was a crazy busy week. But I will survive, so no worries.I got critique from Spell for my Login UI. She point out there are two main issues with my design:
1. The button's position at the main page (Should know where is the area is the best for human thumbs to reach)
2. Buttons in 2nd page were too close to each others, and they have too many elements on each of them(logo, text, color). She told me only two elements are needed for a button to represent the social media.
I agreed her opinions and I think they make a lot of sense to me. So I start to revise mydesign.
Step 1. Find out the most comfortable areas for thumbs
I researched on Google to find where is the most comfortable areas for thumbs. and I found the image :

The green area in this image is the most comfortable for human's right hand thumb.
To find out where is best area for both right and left hands, I just flipped the image and got the idea:

Step 2. Redesign the buttons
Based on the critique, I went to redesign the buttons. I began with making the buttons with only two elements. To make the buttons have only two elements, I decide to use the logo, texts, and all buttons the same color. Here are some examples from the progress:

Step 3. Finalise
To finalise from first two steps, I have the result like these:

I think the only thing works in this result is the buttons are on the better position, but the whole login UI is odd. The color of the background and the button is not really working now. So I send these to my other mentor Yushi, and he gave me some more critique:
1. Look at the color matching. The high contrast black background is not really working now.
2. Think about the users, what is the reason they want to login the app?
Those are great opinions that made me realize I have to be always think why, what, how in the users POV for my every projects. I will be working on revise this again and I hope it will be done before the new years.
